Let’s Listen to You
Lovely to meet you, my name is Anna and I am here to listen to you. To listen to your words, your emotions, your thoughts, your dreams and ultimately to listen to your body, your pain and your joy.
So let’s start with You. How can simply listening help me to heal? How can listening help me with the stress in my life, the pain in my shoulder or the sense of overwhelm and anxiety? Well, within the CranioSacral system, as my hands rest lightly on areas of pain or discomfit in your body, I use my hands to listen to you, in much the same way as a counsellor might listen to your words. Your body responds to this sensitive touch by beginning to listen to itself. Within the space of listening, shifts start to happen, the breath becomes deeper, tight muscles release and let go of tension, the joints of the body and spaces in the cranium open, the mind quietens, and a deep healing space is found.
You could ask me about the name CranioSacral Therapy, thinking it refers only to the head, but in fact CranioSacral Therapy works with the whole person and changes may occur in your body, mind and spirit during and after sessions.
Your own body’s innate ability to balance, restore and heal itself, is emphasised helping to reduce stress and build your underlying energy.
Your CranioSacral Therapy sessions can ultimately lead to your inner journey. Allowing yourself to feel truly connected, without judgement, to the person you have always been.
